1. Read Act 5, Scene 3 of Romeo and Juliet from your play book. There is a link to the play below if you do not have your copy of the play.
2. On the PowerPoint attached, complete the work on Act 5, Scene 3, including analysing the extract. This analysis extract booklet is the week commencing 2nd November.
3. Write a response to the essay question: How is the theme of Fate and destiny presented throughout the play? Collect quotations from each act (use the extracts in your books to help you or google key quotations for this theme). Write a series of PETER paragraphs. Remember, embed quotations, zoom in on language and use subject terminology, explore structure where relevant and comment on the audience and context of the play.
English Language: Paper 1 revision
1. Complete the Reading section of paper 1 for 1 hour. Time yourself.
2. Complete the writing task. The title is 'The Test'.
Plan your story using the narrative mountain (this should be in your y10 book). Make sure you use a single setting, single plot and single character (a minor character is also allowed). Use a range of techniques including: metaphor, personification, pathetic fallacy and sophisticated vocabulary. Vary sentences for effect and use clear paragraphs.

2. Revise An Inspector Calls. Read the Knowledge Organiser and complete the tasks at each section.
3. Complete the image tasks sheet where you explore the relevance of each image to revise key themes and characters.
4. Complete the analysis grids. Answer each question as far as possible. Use google to help you or revision guides.
5. Review Task: Knowledge snapshot document. You need to add detail about a key event from the plot at each stage and supporting quotations.
This must be emailed to Ms Busk at the end of each week to assess your understanding of the tasks set during the week. Please email it to me on Friday. You will need to bring a copy of this when you return so it can be glued into your book.

Then complete the exam paper. Time yourself for 1 hour reading and then complete the 2 writing tasks at a different point. Make sure you revise the features of each writing style, paragraphing and DAFOREST before attempting to complete the tasks. vary sentences for effect.
I will add a R and J revision task later in the week. Email me the revision task sheet please.
