English Literature GCSE Paper 2 Section C will test your ability to write about unseen poetry. There are 2 questions.
In question 1, you will be given an unseen poem and asked to write a personal response to the poem by writing about language, meaning and structure and the poem's effect on you.
In question 2, you will be given another unseen poem that will be thematically linked to the first. In this question, you will be asked to compare the poems and explore the effects they create.
You will have approximately 1 hour to answer both questions. Spend 5-10 minutes reading the poems and making brief annotations to help you to organise your answer and the rest 0of the time writing your responses.
