Please complete your description of the volcano eruption from last week and email it to me. Complete the work on sentences and vocabulary - go through the slides one by one and complete the work. Then edit the text that you have written on volcanoes and use the ideas suggested in the slides that you have worked through to improve your own text. Choose ONE of the following topics and write an eye witness account using the techniques that you have practised.

This week we will be completing the transition unit based on the Reading Extracts and starting our study of William Shakespeare and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Use the PowerPoints and the extracts from the reading booklet. Complete all tasks on The Hunger Games and on the extract from Harry Potter. Complete task 4 and 5 in the spelling, punctuation, and grammar booklet. Create a poster of key facts about William Shakespeare and The Globe Theatre. Use the internet to find information and write it in your own words. When was he born? When did he die? Who did he marry? How many children did he have? How many plays did he write? What are the names of some of his most famous plays? What was life in London like at the time? Where was The Globe Theatre? Draw a plan of the theatre. Why are his plays still famous today? |

Design costumes and explain your design
Collect quotations and explain what they show about the characters.
Answer the questions on the final slide.
Read Act 3 scene 1 and 2.
Make a plot diagram of the main events in the play so far. You can set this out as a flow chart or just as a bullet point list.
